Funds collected from donations will be used mainly to keep this project going: to pay for hosting services, buy video games, buy game subscriptions and work services, buy accessories and other devices for overviews. Desktop PC Upgrade
The main need to upgrade the computer is the desire to organize full-fledged gaming streams and create a comfortable working environment. At the moment my current build is poorly suited to the necessary requirements and is clearly outdated. Only with your help I would be able to build modern hardware, because it is quite a serious expense, which I can not afford myself. I would be very happy if you could help me with this event! I would also be very grateful if the component manufacturers would pay attention to this request.
Having a full-fledged, powerful computer would give me the opportunity to explore PC gaming in more detail in terms of accessibility for people with limitations and to explore the market for special availability accessories, of which there are an incredible number out there. I would also like to start streaming not only directly from gaming consoles, where you can’t even customize the look and features of the broadcast, but also from the PC.
The first thing I would like to do is to upgrade my graphics card to the level of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and install a modern motherboard and processor starting from Intel Core i7. This would give a significant performance boost to my computer.
Approximate cost of the upgrade: 5 000 USD.
Home Theater Upgrade
Creating a comfort environment in my home, where my whole life takes place, where I am twenty-four hours a day, where I work, play, watch movies and just relax, is very important to me and is a top priority. I am a gamer and a film buff with a long experience and to consume content with a quality AV system is a pleasure in itself. 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos – once you see or hear it, you never forget it. Since I don’t have the ability to move around and go to cinemas, I would like to set one up in my home. To be more precise, a mini version of a movie theater.
At the moment I have entry level equipment, which has been with me for many years, but there is no limit to perfection and I always want something of higher quality. My plans are to upgrade as follows:
- Upgrade the audio system and add Dolby Atmos support to full 5.2.4, for this you will also have to upgrade the audio receiver.
- Adding a subwoofer to the system – now I don’t have one at all, and the role of subwoofers is performed by the well-worn Jamo fronts.
- Upgrading the most important device of the cinema – the big screen. I am a fan of OLED TVs, so I wanted to upgrade to a model that uses this technology. The picture quality is perfect. I have been using a not big TV with OLED panel for several years and enjoy every frame, but I would like a bigger diagonal for immersive content.
This is all a big dream for me, which I have been striving for years and which I won’t be able to realize without your help. And I will be glad for any help, in any form.
